Helping a Veteran Home for Christmas
Seattle Saracens' Veterans Director, Tim Brogdon and Raymark Plumbing & Sewer worked together last week to help a Vietnam veteran who is in the oncology unit here in Seattle to be able to go back home to Georgia to see his family this Christmas.
The veteran, who wishes to remain anonymous, has not met his grandchildren before and this may be the only time he gets to see them.
Club sponsor, Raymark Plumbing & Sewer, donated funds for the flight and gifts for the family, whilst the Seattle Saracens worked with the veteran and volunteers at the VA to make this happen and also with Alaska Airlines to get his flight upgraded to first class. Truly a community team effort!
If helping veterans in the community is something you or you company would like be involved with, go ahead and drop Tim an email.
Happy Holidays. Help make a difference!
