Sarries Partnering with The Ronins
Seattle Saracens are pleased to announce our partnering with the Westside Ronins 7s program. Many Seattle Saracens players play for the Ronins7s program in the summer months and it is run by Sarries player, Jone Naisoro.
Sarries President, Kevin Flynn explained; “The Ronins have been getting more and more organized every year. Some of our players play for them in the summer months and we wanted to continue to support our players however we can.
They held their first ever 7s tournament this year, The Siggy 7s, in honor of one of the legendary alum players; Siegfried Kohl, who passed away a few years ago. We were happy to help them deliver the tournament. They also entered multiple teams into our Orca Cup, including the first ever Ronins youth team."
We intend to grow the partnership and for the Ronins to educate young people coming to their program in the summer to continue playing rugby for one of the local teams, or the Saracens into the 15s season. it is a brighter and more productive future working together to promote rugby culture and the sport of rugby.
